Dr. Corey Burchette

Dr. Burchette obtained his Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from the American School or Professional Psychology, Washington, DC Campus. During this time he completed his APA Accredited Internship (emphasis in Psychological Assessment and Neuropsychology) at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Afterwards, Dr. Burchette continued pursuing his interests of specializing in Neuropsychology by completing a 2-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology. He completed a Multi-Site Fellowship Experience in Northern VA (private practice setting, medical center, and outpatient centers) that had didactic training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC: 2-year Neuropsychology Fellowship Seminar). Dr. Burchette has also worked as a clinical neuropsychologist for The Department of Telehealth Services at NRMC.

Presently, Dr. Burchette is an Associate level clinical neuropsychologist at the Neuropsychology Associates of Fairfax where he examines neurocognitive and neurobehavioral functioning of patients 16-95 years of age with various neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Dementia (e.g., Alzheimer’s type, Vascular, FTD, etc.), Attention Deficit Hyper-Activity Disorder (ADHD), Traumatic Brain Injury/Head Injury, Seizure Disorder, Brain Tumor, Stroke, and many others. In addition, Dr. Burchette conducts and publishes research in these areas. In addition, he works closely with the Georgetown Memory Disorders Program and Medstar Georgetown University Hospital conducting neuropsychological evaluations in Washington, D.C. He is a licensed in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
