Dr. Mary Elizabeth Quig
Dr. Mary Elizabeth Quig is the Founding Partner of the Neuropsychology Associates of Fairfax, LLC. Dr. Quig founded the Neuropsychology Associates of Fairfax in 2003, and has enjoyed watching the practice grow over the years. Dr. Quig obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Georgetown University in 1988 and her Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology from Duke University in 1996. Dr. Quig completed her clinical internship in the Psychology Department of the Baltimore VA Medical System (1995-1996).
From 1996-1998, Dr. Quig completed at two year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Department of Neurology at Georgetown University Medical Center with weekly didactics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Quig holds specialized training in Alzheimer’s disease, sports concussion, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease and has been honored to make presentation on these topics over the past many years. Dr. Quig received and has maintained a faculty appointment in the Neurology Department at Georgetown University Hospital since 1998. In this role, she has been honored to collaborate with the Georgetown Memory Disorders Program since its inception, as well as the Georgetown Multiple Sclerosis Center, the Georgetown Epilepsy Center and with the Georgetown Movement Disorders team. Dr. Quig is the author of several peer-reviewed papers and has been admitted to the courts as an Expert in Clinical Neuropsychology multiple times. She enjoys teaching, as well as training both medical students and psychology graduate students, and has co-facilitated several dissertation projects in this regard. Dr. Quig has also had the privilege to moderate several Support Groups over the years for patients with MS, as well as patients with memory loss.In her spare time, Dr. Quig enjoys skiing, hiking and spending time with her wonderful husband and young child.
