Previously, he directed neuropsychology assessment clinics at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in East Orange New Jersey; the VA Maryland Healthcare System; and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He served as faculty for the neuropsychology postdoctoral training program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and directed postdoctoral training programs in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and at the VA Maryland Healthcare System. He served as the Associate Director for Communications (telemedicine) at the VA East Coast Multiple Sclerosis Center of Excellence. He also served as the program manager for the DoD Neurocognitive Assessment Program at the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center and as a Senior Research Scientist at the U.S. Army Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center where he managed the Parkinson’s Disease Research Program. He served as a consultant to Medical Operations, NASA Johnson Space Center, and was instrumental in the development of the computerized NASA Spaceflight Cognitive Assessment Tool.  He has held faculty positions at various medical schools and works closely with the Georgetown University Memory Disorders program. He has published 68 articles in peer-reviewed journals and authored or coauthored 14 book chapters. He is the coeditor of a book entitled The Role of Technology in Clinical Neuropsychology. He reviews articles for various journals. He is a fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and Associate Fellow in the Aerospace Medical Association.
