Dr. Sara K. Trach
Sara K. Trach, Psy.D., is a clinical neuropsychologist and licensed clinical psychologist. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park and her Doctor of Psychology in clinical psychology from Widener University. Following graduate school, she completed a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Virginia. Dr. Trach provides neuropsychological evaluations to adults and older adults with neurological conditions and/or concerns, including dementia (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease), mild cognitive impairment (MCI), movement-related disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, Lewy body, Huntington’s disease), cerebrovascular disease/stroke, brain tumor, multiple sclerosis, and psychiatric conditions.
She has a specific interest and extensive training in providing neuropsychological evaluations (including pre-surgical evaluations) and care for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and their families.
Dr. Trach’s research focuses on the connection between the effects of cognitive and psychiatric functioning on neurodegenerative conditions, with a strong interest in Parkinson’s disease. She has co-authored scientific journal articles related to cognitive and psychiatric predictors on the quality of life in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. She is a member of the American Psychological Association’s Society for Clinical Neuropsychology and the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology.
