Dr. Timothy Fratto

Timothy Fratto, Ph.D. is a clinical neuropsychologist at Neuropsychology Associates of Fairfax and research director for Washington Neuropsychology Research Group. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology with honors from Wake Forest University. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and completed his pre-doctoral residency at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center with a concentration in neuropsychology. He then completed a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology. Dr. Fratto works with patients with a wide range of neurological and psychiatric conditions, including dementia (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease), Parkinson’s disease, MS, cerebrovascular disease/stroke, infectious diseases, and traumatic brain injury (TBI). He has also worked with athletes of all ages, including active and retired professional athletes. Further, Dr. Fratto works with students of all ages, particularly those concerned about possible attention disorders (e.g., ADHD) and TBI/concussion, 

assisting them in obtaining academic accommodations and optimal supports in order to succeed academically. Dr. Fratto has also been involved in independent medical examinations (IMEs) and has been admitted to the court as an expert witness in neuropsychology.

Dr. Fratto has made numerous poster presentations and prepared manuscripts for scientific meetings and journals on various topics, including dementia, TBI, MS, and ADHD. He continues to be actively involved in clinical research on multiple neurological conditions. He is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the International Neuropsychological Society, and the National Multiple Sclerosis SocietWhen not at work, Dr. Fratto enjoys heading to the beach, hiking, running, playing baseball and golf, and spending time with his wife, young children, and 2 dogs.
