Dr. Kamini Krishnan.

Kamini Krishnan, PhD., ABPP-CN is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist. She completed her doctoral program and internship at University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and postdoctoral fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Prior to joining the Neuropsychology Associates of Fairfax, Dr. Krishnan worked at the Cleveland Clinic with

joint appointments in the Department of Neurology and Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health since 2016.

Dr. Krishnan provides neuropsychological evaluations (age 18+) to assist with differential diagnosis and treatment planning for a range of neurological and psychiatric disorders including traumatic brain injury, post concussive syndrome, multiple sclerosis, brain tumor, Parkinson’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, dementia (Alzheimer’s, Lewy body, frontotemporal). She is also available for independent medical evaluations. Her services are offered in English, Hindi, and Tamil. Other foreign language evaluations may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Dr. Krishnan’s research interest focuses on early identification and prevention of neurodegenerative disorders through multiple modalities including computerized assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, and neuroimaging. She won the Nelson’s Butters award in 2023 from the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN) for a research paper about cognitive effects post Covid-19.  She has served on committees for different neuropsychology organizations including NAN’s Women in Leadership, APA Division 40’s Ethnic Minority Affairs, Cultural Neuropsychology Council and is a founding member of the South Asian special interest group of the Asian Neuropsychological Society. She also serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Health Service Psychology.
